Crimson Capstone Advisors
As a Crimson Capstone Advisor, you'd be working with students to strategize and develop a personalized leadership project that demonstrates their interests, ingenuity, and initiative. The leadership project is a vital component of their college application process. The core responsibility of an Advisor will be to guide and mentor the student on how to execute their Capstone Project. Advisors will also guide students with the scaling-up of their Capstone Projects as well as ensuring their projects are impactful within a community.
Our advisors are paired on a student-by-student basis, with the control to accept or decline students as the mentors' schedules allow. This provides our advisors with abilities to manage their schedule around other commitments. The minimum hours required is 5 hours per week, and advisors are obligated to remain with students until their project has come to a close. Allocations are made based on subject compatibility, meaning that you will be working with students hoping to pursue a project in an area similar to your expertise. Popular project types include:

Start-up
Society or Club
Competition
Public Speaking Series
Educational or Debate Curriculum
Innovative Practical Project
Creative Works Collection
App or Game Development
Website or Blog Development
Podcast
Exhibition
Documentary or Short Film
Community Service Project
Fundraiser
Campaign

Suppose you have a skillset, a strong educational background (Top 30 US Universities ideally), or a professional profile that matches the above areas, and you have a passion for education and mentorship. In that case, you'd likely be a great candidate for capstone advisor! Additional qualities of an ideal Capstone advisor include strong project management and organizational skills, the ability to work remotely and independently with attention to detail, and fantastic written and verbal communication skills.
Service Expectations:
As a provider of the standard Capstone leadership project service, you will be expected to provide students with guidance and support. Core responsibilities include:

Supporting students with development and ultimately submitting a Capstone Leadership Project Proposal, and Completion Form
Developing a project management plan for your student's capstone leadership project and conducting biweekly to monthly sessions, aligning with your schedule, to aid the student in the execution of the project
Remaining with paired students until completion of their project.
Liaising with the Capstone Admin team and the student Strategist to ensure that the student's capstone leadership project is on track and their experience is satisfactory

Compensation
The starting rate for standard Capstone leadership project mentorship depends on your professional experience and expertise, as well as any educational experience you can bring, such as having completed your top college application. You will be paid for the live session time you spend with your students. Please note that a standard, one-hour session will also include, approximately:

15 minutes of preparation time
10 minutes filling out a session summary
A potential 10-15 minutes of follow-up or research on behalf of your student

If you're passionate about growing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and want to work with cutting-edge technology then we'd love to hear from you!
Please keep an eye on your spam / junk email folder for correspondence from Team Tailor.
