The remuneration range for this role is $115,000 to $163,000 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience. The opportunity As Capital Projects Commercial Lead, you will provide strategic commercial leadership for Wellington Water's capital work programmes, by collaborating with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure procurement models are developed to achieve value while maintaining an emphasis on delivery and risk management. This is a strategic role that will lean on your ability to build meaningful commercial relationships with our consultant and contractor panels throughout programme life-cycles and identify and action areas for improvement. Day to day you will:
Lead cost analysis, contract negotiations and dispute resolution for major infrastructure projects. Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects, including innovative delivery models. Establish and maintain commercial frameworks to drive improved cost visibility and value. Provide strategic commercial advice to project teams and coordinate legal support. Monitor market conditions and maintain price benchmarking to inform estimating processes. About you To be successful in this role you will bring:
MCIPS qualification or relevant tertiary qualification. Extensive experience in infrastructure commercial management on complex projects over $50M. Ability to partner effectively with Senior Leaders and have meaningful impact on programme outcomes. Deep knowledge of NZ contract mechanisms including NZS, NEC and FIDIC frameworks. Strong financial analysis skills and commercial acumen. Proven track record in developing and maintaining strategic supplier relationships.
