Wellington Free Ambulance is seeking a dedicated Candidate Management Specialist to join our team and support our recruitment processes, with a strong focus on Graduate and International Paramedic recruitment.The responsibilities of the Candidate Management Specialist include: Recruitment Support: Assisting candidates throughout the recruitment process and acting as a consistent point of contact for candidates Candidate Interaction: Managing initial contact with applicants, including screening, interview coordination, responding to inquiries, and providing updates throughout the recruitment process Onboarding Support: Serving as the primary point of contact for new hires before they begin their employment, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the organisation Transition Support: Providing comprehensive support to new staff, ensuring their induction and transition into WFA is seamless.

We are the one and only paramedic service for Wellington and Wairarapa, and the only one in the country that is free.

As well as emergency paramedic care, we provide patient transfer services; have paramedics who are part of the Life Flight crew and rescue squad, and we operate the 111 clinical communications centre for our region.
We respond on average to around 57,000 emergency incidents per year.
We have an awesome team of around 400 staff and over 80 volunteers who cover the area from Cook Strait to just north of Waikanae on the Kapiti Coast, and across to Mt Bruce in the Wairarapa.
