An exciting opportunity has become available to join a talented, highly motivated and engaged team as a Business Development Manager in Tauranga.
The purpose of this role is to maximise sustainable region profitability and growth and manage new and existing intermediary relationships to ensure the region delivers the Vero proposition to customers in an effective and efficient way.
Your key areas of focus will include:
Driving sales revenue from our Intermediated business ensuring excellent support and service to our Intermediaries.
Developing new business opportunities within the Vero NZ Commercial and Rural general insurance portfolios and quoting and winning new commercial general insurance.
Building strong meaningful intermediary relationships.
Offering a wide range of knowledge on Vero Insurance products and services for an intermediary to ensure increased profitability and sales opportunities.
Retaining existing business and providing high quality solutions for material changes.
Managing and following up on premiums owed to Vero by intermediaries to ensure collection of premiums within credit terms.
Contributing to the design, creation and implementation of the Region Sales strategies, tactics and plans to ensure customer needs and expectations are fulfilled.
Supporting the introduction of new digital platforms and the update of digital business processes by our intermediary partners.
What you'll need to succeed:
5+ years of commercial general insurance experience
5+ years of sales relationship management experience
Knowledge of the broker landscape and key/influential brokers
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
Understanding of medium to large sized business operations
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative and strategic and commercial partnerships, relationships and networks
