Base Salary + Bonus + Vehicle + BenefitsThis rare opportunity is perfect for an experienced Business Development Manager seeking to take on a challenging and highly rewarding position within a Tier 1 Finance and Leasing Company.
Working closely with and reporting to the Head of Fleet, you will be accountable for achieving sales targets and profit growth by planning and implementing sales initiatives for new business and building a portfolio of new customers by targeting new prospects which include SME, Corporate, and Government portfolios.As this is a critical position within the team, you must come from a similar role hunting new business within the Finance and Leasing industry.
This role has a strong focus and will be measured on sales volume and profitability; this is not an account management role.Some Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a new business development sales planAchieve agreed business targets and increase market share by canvassing and prospecting new prospective customersIdentify new prospects within relevant sectors and develop and implement effective strategies to win and maintain their businessIdentify, prepare and present/submit quotes and tender responses for new business opportunitiesActively identify/investigate new business leads and assess account potentialBuild an in-depth knowledge of competitors; understand their strengths and weaknesses and create/exploit opportunities arising from theseFoster long-term customer relationships, ensuring the smooth transition of new clients to the care of Account ManagersProvide the customer a seamless onboarding experienceFinalize agreements, develop credit memorandums, initial orders, and execute Master Lease AgreementsCapture and complete the lost business report with detailed reasoning e.g., price, service, productContribute to the development and implementation of relevant components of the fleet strategic sales planPersonally network to build a profile within the wider industryQualifications, Experience and Skills Required:A business-related tertiary qualification is preferredA minimum of four years successful sales experience within the Finance IndustryKnowledge of motor vehicle financing, products, and market environmentAdvanced sales skills and account management skills are preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to networkStrong presentation skills are requiredFull clean Drivers LicenceStrong commercial acumenProven experience nurturing existing accounts and generating new business opportunities through canvassing, pitching, tendering, and salesExposure to working in the automotive industryMust be residing in New Zealand with ResidencyThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join this fantastic brand and team!
