The OpportunityBelaire Ferries has been in the business of successfully moving people across the Waitemata Harbour to where they need to be for over 17 years. Based out of Hobsonville Marina, operating a fleet of passenger catamarans, they have become a key part of the community and place people first in every aspect of their business. This is a core fundamental to their success to date.While not the biggest, the business is very proud to hold best customer satisfaction score for the Auckland ferry network. As a key part of the public transport network, they operate predominately Monday through Friday with rostered weekend work to service Rakino Island.The RoleThis is an 8-month fixed-term maternity leave cover position. We are looking to recruit a talented Business Delivery Manager to lead the team and maintain key client relationships.To be successful in this role, you will be a natural people leader who is commercially astute, data driven and able to demonstrate strong leadership and teamworking skills. You should also demonstrate excellent communication and IT skills.This role is about maintaining course and ensuring contract deliverables to Auckland Transport (AT), the business, its people and clients get to where they need to be, when they should be.Reporting to the Managing Director you will have oversight of the business unit and be supported by three highly skilled direct reports overseeing a team of up to 20 skippers and crew.Responsibilities:Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersLeading the marine team, managing performance, conflict resolution and ensuring the teams processes and tasks are carried out efficiently.Managing business unit finances and budgetsBuilding and maintaining partnerships with suppliers to ensure continuity of serviceRequirements:A tertiary qualification in a business-related fieldExperience in leadership roles, logistics and customer servicePrevious experience in managing mid-sized teamsUnderstanding of HSWA and responsibilities of a PCBUGood IT skills and the ability to use business support softwareStrong customer service, project management and quality control skillsEnergy and resilience to operate in a dynamic environment with great resource planning skillsExcellent leadership and coaching skills with the ability to take others with youStrong teamwork skillsMeticulous attention to detailBenefits:You will work in an environment based on strong family values that supports and invests in its people, is purpose driven to constantly provide the highest quality of serviceAttractive remuneration package that can be tailored to suit the right candidateStrong company cultureFree vaccinations and paid time while receiving themIf you think this opportunity sounds like you, please hit the "Apply Now" in the strictest of confidence.
