About the opportunity As our Branch Manager , you will be supporting a team that brings energy, focus and experience to electrical wholesaling in Hastings.
It's a challenging role where you'll balance gaining and servicing profitable sales with the operational running of the branch whilst motivating and engaging our team to deliver outstanding customer service.
As our Branch Manager in Hastings you're a pro-active person who values strong customer and staff relationships and is willing to get stuck in to keep the branch ticking.
Your role will be to develop and maintain advanced level relationships to secure profitable growth – not just with external customers and suppliers, with your internal support network too.
You'll be a master of diplomacy and able to achieve great outcomes for all!
Our preferred candidate has a strong sales focus and likes to spend time truly understanding our customers and providing relevant solutions in a timely manner.
Technical electrical or trade knowledge is an advantage.
A strong sales-oriented person looking to advance their career, or someone from a trade background is likely to achieve well in this role.
Existing experience in people management along with sound sales and commercial skills combine to make you an ideal candidate.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include: Managing individual and team performance including development of staffDeveloping and maintaining strong customer and supplier relationships, identifying business opportunities to increase sales and margin levelsMaintaining awareness of commercial and financial requirements to achieve KPIs and targets Assuming all sales representative responsibilities ensuring alignment with sales and branch strategy and objectivesEffectively managing operations (purchasing, inventory, distribution, and invoicing)Participating in the stock take process, including managing any stock levels and ageing stockRecovering outstanding monies from creditors and enforcing cash management policy.
The hours of work for this role are Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5.00pm and rostered Saturdays from 8.00am – 11am.
