As a result, our people work hard, share a laugh, and get the job done.The opportunity:We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Branch Manager to oversee our Wairarapa Division. This role is both challenging and rewarding, requiring a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on management. You will be responsible for leading a team that includes a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Foremen, and Field Staff, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.Our people are our biggest asset, so you must be able to have open and honest conversations with your team and be people focused.Key responsibilities:Lead and manage the Wairarapa branch, overseeing projects including roading, subdivisions, drainage, and siteworks.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring successful project delivery and long-term partnerships.Foster a positive and productive work environment aligned with our C.R.A.S.H culture, encouraging open and honest communication at all levels.Oversee financial performance, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and profitability targets are met.Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards, Quality checks, and all relevant regulatory requirements.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the branch, with a focus on operational efficiency and team development.Report directly to senior management and provide regular updates on branch performance and project progress.You will have:Proven leadership experience in the civil construction/asphalting industry, with a strong background in managing diverse teams.Extensive knowledge of project management, contract management, and field operations, particularly in roading, drainage, and siteworks.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire your team.A commitment to our C.R.A.S.H values and the ability to demonstrate these in your everyday interactions.A practical understanding of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety in the workplace.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.The ability to work as a team player with a great sense of humour and enthusiasm that inspires success within the team.In return we offer:Competitive package based on your level of experience and the value you bring to the team.Company vehicle and an opportunity to work with a great group of individuals.Medical insurance.Computer and phone.Profit share.Wellbeing services and events.If this sounds like you and you have the knowledge and drive to succeed in this role, please apply today or call 04 2341026 to speak with Shelley for more information.You must be a NZ citizen or resident.
