Job description:
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Ensure invoices, purchase orders, and payments are processed accurately and promptly.
Bills Input: Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring all expenses are appropriately documented, categorized, and in compliance with financial policies.
Credit Control: Monitor accounts receivable performance and lines of credit. Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable, including aging reports and collection metrics. Analyze credit and collection data for potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
Costing: Ensure accurate and timely recording of cost data. Maintain and update cost databases, ensuring data integrity for budget and expenditure reporting.
Reconciliation: Reconcile bank account transactions daily (approximately 30 transactions) and ensure monthly bank statement reconciliation.
Reports Required: Generate financial statements, budgets, and expenditure analyses. Provide consolidated data for general accounting duties and support the Finance Manager with financial performance analysis.
Performance Analyst: Assist the Finance Manager in analyzing financial performance trends, identifying key areas for improvement.
Data Filing: Perform data entry, filing, and documentation tasks for financial record-keeping.
Fixed Assets: Monitor asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Cash Flow: Record all petty cash transactions, receipts, expenditures, and reimbursements. Monitor cash flow and maintain appropriate documentation.
Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing forms related to business tax entitlements and obligations, such as GST reports.
Team Support: Undertake additional administrative and finance-related tasks as required, providing team support for any other accounting needs.
Job pre-requisites:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least one year of work experience in accounting or finance
Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with accounting software
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
Highly detail-oriented
