About The Role - Te Mahi An exciting opportunity awaits for Part-Time Bartender's at our rooftop bar Sunset, at Sudima Auckland City. Influences from beloved bars from around the world have been woven together to create Sunset's tapestry of inspiration; one thread from a bustling rooftop terrace in Mumbai, one from a speakeasy in Budapest, another from a hotel bar on Manhattan's High Line. A delicious cocktail of global influences, cultures and talents come together to create this popular space.
Cocktails, delicious food and comfortable surroundings all best enjoyed with Sunset's expansive rooftop view of the city and harbour.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar role, and a passion for exceeding guests expectations, great knowledge of wine varieties and well versed in the culinary art of making cocktails and mixed alcoholic drinks.
This role covers different shifts during the week, weekends and public holidays. You will need to be flexible to work all rostered days.
Responsibilities | Nga haepapa Ensure bar prep for a successful evening drinks service
Support the restaurant team with drinks and food service
Understand the ingredients used
Have a passion for creating extraordinary cocktails
Prepare all beverages to order
Ensure the bar and tables are always clean
Close the bar and ensure all checklists are completed and set up for the morning shift
Daily banking and cashing up of the tills
Requirements About you | Ko koe tenei 1-2 years experience in bar service preferred
Excellent Communicator
Understanding of Sale of Liquor Act
Exudes attentive, friendly and professional service
Excellent wine, beer and cocktail knowledge
Can work weekends and evenings
Candidates must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand to be considered for the role.
