We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Bakery Team at our friendly community Supermarket in Cromwell. This is a 40 hour per week position. Position KPI: (ANZSCO 351111) Main focus of the position is to prepare bread doughs (from scratch), pastries, cakes and slabs and bake product correctly to ensure we maintain a high standard of quality and product range for our customers. Product displays must be presented in an appetizing and visually pleasant manner. Work within set time frames to ensure the production schedule & targets are met. Follow the Food Control plan and complete all food checks by using a hand-held transmitter (HHT). Strictly adhere to all workplace safety rules and regulations at all times. Do inventory management accurately and efficiently. Experience and requirements: Baker qualification – National Certificate in baking Level 2, 3, 4 OR a Diploma in Baking will suffice. A minimum of 3 years baking experience will be required. Extended working hours might be required from time to time, especially over the festive periods. Overtime at the normal hourly rate will be payable in such an event. Should your work day fall on a public holiday, the pay rate will be paid at 1 ½ and a day in lieu allocated. Experience in the supermarket industry will be an advantage but not essential. The position requires the successful applicant to work in Cromwell on site. All training documentation and communication will be in English. Physical fitness is important. Work schedule and remuneration: Tuesday to Saturday, off on a Sunday & Monday. Your shift will start at 4 am – 12:30 pm so if you are an "early bird," this would suit you. Remuneration for this position would be between $31.61 and $34 per hour depending on experience. The pay frequency will be weekly via electronic transfer.
