We are looking for a new team member to join our IT team as our Automation Test Specialist. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and who is passionate about leading continuous improvement of our testing. You have strong communication skills with the special ability to translate complex topics into plain language that is easily understood by our non-tech focused teams.
This is a technical role within the IT team and is responsible for advancing the software testing capabilities. The role is focused on testing TR in-house applications and external services utilised by TR Group. You will work closely with our business stakeholders to identify, build and manage quality testing services across the organisation.
About the role: Actively engage with stakeholders to identify and analyse valuable information which enables quality testing outcomes - creating great relationships along the wayParticipate in technology team planning, development, and release cyclesGrow testing knowledge across the TR Group technology team and lead and manage testing projectsAnalyse how testing can be applied to business applicationsProduce and maintain documentation that details testing frameworks and tools across the businessProvide recommendations to the technology team for issues discovered in business applications during testingProvide analysis and advice on performance testing resultsWork with Microsoft SQL and associated database services across the organisation from a testing perspectiveDevelop reports to clearly show the testing outcomes for the business over timeManage testing source code across the businessCreate test plans for each business applicationAutomate testing as part of the TR Group's implementation of CI/CD processesProduce and maintain high quality documentation for all test plansTo be successful in this position, you will: Have experience in Agile environmentsHave strong experience with capturing user stories and business processes in deep detailHave 2+ years working with tools such as Selenium and Cypress on languages such as C#, .NETBe familiar with GITHave experience with automation tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or OctopusPossess a good understanding of Docker and containerizationHave experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud based IAAS solutionsWe are turning an exciting page within the IT space at TR Group, and building on some great foundations to be even better.
