We would love you to join our student health and wellbeing team as an Attendance Support Assistant. Attendance is crucial to the success of our students and you will play an important role in this team. We require an organized and enthusiastic person who is kind, firm, and a confident communicator. You must be comfortable and empathetic with young people and their families and provide effective student attendance monitoring by ensuring data integrity, inputs and outputs are of the highest standard. You will also assist students who may need basic health-related support. Key Skills: Accuracy of data recordingStrong IT skills and a knowledge of the Student Management System / KAMAR Excellent communication skills with families, students, colleagues, with a great phone mannerHave a high level of literacy and numeracy with the ability to analyse attendance data and recognize patternsStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsAble to work under pressureHard working, kind, good value and willing to support colleagues with the day-to-day running of the office as neededAble to work with confidential and sensitive information and maintain privacy Key Tasks: Interaction with students, parents/caregivers, teachers, admin staff, Senior Leaders, Kainga LeadersMust have or be prepared to learn the functions in KAMAR relating to attendance, including entry management, use of the correct Ministry of Education attendance codes and extraction of dataProvide effective student attendance monitoring and proactive response to address concerns re student attendanceProvide reports on attendance related data and follow up with DPProvide statistical information to DP in charge of Attendance.Manage referrals to Attendance Servicers in consultation with AP in charge of AttendanceManage the sending of attendance letters; notifying the DP in charge of attendance This is a 35 hours per week, permanent, part time, term time only, Monday to Friday position and will be in the Grade 3 range of the Support Staff Collective.
