This role will work as a part of the team to identify barriers and support solutions that enable all learners to attend school regularly.On a daily basis, the Attendance Services Advisor will work alongside schools, students, and their whanau to encourage regular school attendance. Core skills required for this role are:The core skills required for this role are:The ability to inspire and motivate young people to succeedAbility to walk alongside whanau to identify barriers, problem solve solutions, and support access to resources/information that enables learners to return to and remain in educationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to run workshops and organise small eventsExperience in managing a caseload and/or excellent organisational skillsAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholdersAble to demonstrate initiative, good judgement, and flexibilityFull New Zealand Drivers License (essential)A good sense of humour and commitment to being part of a teamThis position is classed as a Core Worker and will need to pass a safety check, inclusive of Police Vetting, under the Children's Act 2014CAPS offers a competitive salary package and a supportive team environment.
