Au Mahi | What You Will Do You will work in agile teams, progressing one of UC's high-profile internal projects – mobile development using React Native. We are seeking applicants at an associate level for a role in a new team. Your new team-mates are experienced and have worked on a variety of high-profile local and international projects. Our projects have a focus on improving the UC experience for both students and staff. You will participate in detailed design sessions and build innovative software that complies with coding standards. We see code quality as everyone's concern, so you will be comfortable developing high-quality code, and test code as well as feature code. In this role you will be building your skills and professional experience by seeking and engaging with formal and informal learning opportunities. Mou | Who You Are You have commercial software development experience or hold a relevant post-graduate qualification. As our team works in an agile manner, it's important that you are adaptable, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, have an eye for detail, and can communicate effectively. As an Associate Software Developer at UC, you can expect to use a variety of languages, frameworks and tools. For this project, experience with several of the following would be an advantage: Web or mobile development experience with React. Front-end web application development with React and Typescript. Back-end application/web service development with NodeJS including API design. Microservice development, and asynchronous event-based programming. Domain Driven Design. DevOps & Site Reliability Engineering. Integration with internal and external systems. Source control with Git, and CI/CD tools and techniques, as well as unit and automated testing.
