Associate/Senior Associate - Commercial Property - WellingtonLane Neave's nationally recognised Commercial Property team is growing, and we're seeking an experienced lawyer to join our team in the Wellington office.Our Commercial Property team is the largest in our firm, with team members across all four of our offices – Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown. This is a rare opportunity that would give you great exposure to a wide variety of work, a diverse range of clients and the chance to join a supportive, friendly and well-resourced team.The Role:This senior position reports to our experienced and highly regarded Wellington based Commercial Property partner, Jade Aislabie.In this position you'll:Act on the acquisitions and disposals of commercial property generally, including drafting and negotiating agreements for sale and purchase, assisting with due diligence projects, and conveyancing attendances;Act on the preparation and negotiation of agreements to lease and other lease documentation for commercial property-owning landlords;Act for developer clients in relation to the acquisition of development sites, development sell-down and titling processes;Assist with the running of a busy commercial property and residential conveyancing practice;Build close working relationships within the Commercial Property team and across the wider firm, where a culture of shared knowledge and expertise, development and mentoring is openly encouraged.About You:Ideally, you'll have 5+ years' post qualification experience with exposure to various aspects of commercial and property law.You'll have a high level of technical expertise and an excellent client service ethos. Motivated and driven, you'll thrive on being able to work hard and smart, delivering work effectively – both autonomously and through utilising the team.
