Job DescriptionWe are looking for an honest, reliable, and hard-working person to manage our dairy farm operations. The role includes:Managing a 300 cow dairy farm with a 32 aside herringbone milking system with cup removers.Spring calving on 115 ha running a system 2/3 input system.Good pasture management skills with the aim of utilizing pasture first.Using PKE and home-grown maize to fill feed deficits (fed in paddock).Operation of machinery and bikes.Good animal husbandry skills.Ability to work unsupervised and manage staff.Overseeing the day-to-day running of the farm, especially the milkings, liaising with the owner.Assisting with any jobs associated with running our dairy farm operation.Good practical skills for on-farm maintenance.We have an award-winning farm that focuses on detail to operate an efficient system.
