Mo te turanga - About the role As an Assistant Branch Manager in our Personal Banking Branch Network team, this role assists the Branch Manager in managing the daily branch operations. Assistant Managers (AM) generally manage Service Staff; however, there are some AMs that have solutions staff reporting to them. These positions report into a Branch Manager. While Branch Managers have ultimate responsibility for all staff and operational requirements of their sites, they often delegate tasks to the AM.

Ka aha to ra e kite ai? - What will your day look like? In this role, you would assist the Branch Manager in managing branch operations and provide leadership of the branch customer services platform. You will be responsible for meeting customer needs and enhancing customer experience to ensure the service platform is compliant with ANZ's policies and procedures. This role is expected to provide full leadership and be responsible for all branch activities in the Branch Manager's absence.

Research, analytical, credit, and risk assessment skills gained through banking experience
Comprehensive understanding of compliance and branch operations
Prior experience in developing strong relationships in a customer-focused role

A positive attitude with a growth mindset
