That's us!We are one of NZ's biggest companies, you just don't know it, because in true Kiwi style – we are humble about it (apart from right now maybe)!Our purpose-built offices close to Auckland Airport is home to New Zealand's largest Distribution Centre and our Support Centre where our team of 1000 people strong, all strive towards becoming one of the most customer driven retailers in the world.About the roleWe are looking for the next commercial superstar, ready to cut their teeth in an entry level finance role where you will learn the foundations of corporate finance from raising purchase orders, journal entries to reporting.As the Assistant Accountant – Group Finance, you will be the key support for month end close and year-end audit, go to person for AR/AP, assist with the joint ventures and associate entities' financial accounts, preparation of tax returns and GST returns, and take full ownership of bank reconciliations and statistic returns.And it gets better….in addition to this you'll gain exposure to large scale projects and will be involved in the continuous improvement and process efficiency.About youConfident working with data, you'll be systems savvy (SAP would be super cool but not essential), have a good working knowledge of Excel and will have exceptional communication skills with a customer focus. You'll exude positivity and will constantly be striving to learn and develop in our fast paced and challenging environment.
