This role is primarily responsible for ensuring that transactional accounting and administration tasks are carried out accurately and promptly. You will be instrumental in assisting with month-end processes, preparing profit and loss account sheets, record keeping, project accounting, reporting, and providing support to the Management Accountant / Finance Manager and Business Support Team. What you'll do: As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all transactional accounting and administration tasks are completed accurately and on time. You will assist in various financial processes such as month-end procedures, preparing profit and loss account sheets, record keeping, project accounting, and reporting. Your excellent attention to detail will be vital in this role as you provide support to the Management Accountant / Finance Manager and Business Support Team.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of transactional accounting and administration tasksAssist in month-end processes including preparation of profit and loss account sheetsMaintain records diligentlyContribute to project accounting initiativesPrepare reports as requiredProvide support to the Management Accountant / Finance Manager and Business Support TeamWhat you bring: The ideal candidate for the Assistant Accountant position will have a tertiary level qualification in Accounting or Business studies. You should have proven working knowledge of the general ledger and exposure to all facets of finance and accounting. Your intermediate to advanced level skills in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, will be essential for this role. A high attention to detail coupled with strong data entry skills will set you apart in this role.
