C3 Ltd is a company on the go in the dynamic world of logistics and cargo movements. Our finance team is currently seeking to hire an assistant accountant to come on board in a fixed term capacity to cover for a key staff member who is heading away on maternity leave for 12-month period. The role is based out of our Sulphur point office in the sunny Bay of Plenty. With a stable and supportive Finance team who like to have a bit of fun – this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The position on offer reports into our Financial Accountant and would suit someone who could be part qualified with an Accounting or Commerce degree.
In this role you will be responsible for the:
Preparation of weekly and monthly journals
Completion of daily bank reconciliations, including resolution of reconciling items.
Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Maintenance and management of the fixed asset register
Maintain and manage all leases that are recognised under IFRS 16
Assist with month end reporting requirements
Management of automatic payments and direct debits
Preparation of IRD tax returns, including GST and FBT
The person we are looking for will have good accounting knowledge, with a desire to achieve and learn, who is deadline driven and keen to contribute to the success of the finance team. To be successful, in this role you will need to have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong Excel skills and be a good communicator. Bring your fresh ideas to help streamline and improve our processes. You could be implementing your skills from recent education, accounting practice (BAS), or comparable experience.
