We are looking for a qualified or experienced Area Manager in our Bay of Plenty based horticulture company. This is a full-time permanent position and will consist of handling the full operations of one location of our horticulture business. You will be assigned a location which could be in Gisborne, Bay of Plenty or Whanganui.
To be considered for this position, you'll have at least a qualification in a relevant field of studies at Diploma level or higher or at least one year of relevant experience. You should have excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and be able to work independently to reach goals. You must be able to multitask and complete work within set time frames.
You will also be expected to perform management tasks such as obtaining and negotiating new contracts, creating reports for work, communicating with farmers and growers, handling financial transactions, ordering products, HR duties, and staff management. You will be solely responsible for our business operations, with other management staff reporting to and supporting you.

This is a full-time permanent position and the successful applicant will be required to manage the business as well as its staff and other third parties. Each Area Manager will be provided with at least 30 hours per week of work. The minimum pay is $29.66 an hour and the maximum pay rate is $35 per hour.
