The primary focus of this position is on driving operational excellence and improvement across multiple teams and/or sites, contributing to and implementing Sector strategy. Working with Regional and Site Managers to provide leadership and management support enabling the achievement of business objectives including fostering a culture where safety is a core value.
As an Area Manager, you will:
Lead and support operational teams to achieve business objectives.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Develop strategic business partnerships and client relationships.
Drive growth and retention of new and existing business.
Ensure compliance with Compass Group Quality and Safety Standards.
Mentor and develop team members to reach their full potential.
Deliver the profit for portfolio through leading the department managers in delivery of their financial targets.
Develop and update legal/regulatory knowledge required for business compliance.
Lead change for units within portfolio and support change in the wider sector or organisation.
Provide mentoring and coaching support to team members.
Implement strategies to develop, train, maintain and motivate workforce to deliver business requirements.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met.
Strong multi-site operational and contract management experience.
Advanced commercial acumen and budget management skills.
Proven ability to lead and develop successful teams.
Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental principles.
Business or degree qualifications would be an advantage.
