Pynenburg & Collins Architects is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary, values-led studio with a current emphasis on residential and commercial architecture.
Established in 1981, Pynenburg & Collins has grown to 26 talented team members, who operate in Wellington and Christchurch, with nation-wide projects.
To reflect both the interests of our co-founders and the expertise developed over 40 years, the practice has established two brand identities, Pynenburg & Collins Architects and Lab-works Architecture.
Our studio operates as a single entity.
Lab-works specialises in the design of laboratories and scientific facilities where we provide comprehensive services for both public and private sector organisations, enhancing the way science is done in New Zealand.
We are committed to design excellence and safety regulations, and our expertise has earned us national and international recognition.
Role Description This is a full-time fixed-term role (October - December 2024) for an Architectural Graduate.
This role can be entry level and will be located in our Wellington OR Christchurch studio.
As an Architectural Graduate, you will work closely with your project lead to carry out architectural design and documentation.
Other duties from time to time may need to be carried out in relation to internal portfolio work and office administration.
Qualifications and Skillsets BAS and/or MArch and/or other equivalent certificate/diploma Experience using Revit and its fundamental tools and workflows Experience using Adobe (InDesign and Photoshop) Be fluent in Microsoft Office products Knowledge of New Zealand building code A passion for Architectural Design Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines A strong work ethic, organisation, self-sufficiency and time management skills An ability to offer proactive and innovative solutions About us: We're an architectural design practice, designing brilliant spaces since 1981.
We have 2 brands; Pynenburg & Collins Architects (PCA) where our purpose is to create brilliant architecture for our clients and to enhance the way people live, work & play.
Our Lab-works Architecture (LWA) brand where we have the opportunity to fundamentally enhance the way science is done in New Zealand.
PCA is our primary brand name where we undertake general architecture including residential, aged care and off-the-grid architectural design services.
LWA is our specialist laboratory architecture design brand which is New Zealand's foremost laboratory design business, our clients include many universities, CRIs, and private laboratories.
We have a team of 26 who work in our Wellington and Christchurch studios and we're looking for an Architectural Graduate to help us on project work on a fixed-term basis.
