Our team of industry experts has completed a wide range of great projects nationwide: from apartments to timber homes for a strong client base.
Founded in 2010, we take pride in applying our architecture knowledge and meeting our clients' requirements without hidden costs.
Archiland is currently seeking Architectural Draftspersons to join our team.
The successful candidates will play a crucial role in communicating with clients and preparing outstanding drawings and plans.
The role requires work for at least 32 hours per week with an expected hourly rate of $32-$35.
Responsibilities: You will work closely with architects, engineers, and construction managers to ensure that design elements are accurately represented in the drafting process.
Interpreting and understanding plans, sketches, ideas, and specifications to translate them into detailed working plans.
Producing accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for buildings, structures, and construction projects.
Reviewing and ensuring that plans comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Indicating materials to be used, dimensions, time scales, and procedures for construction.
Site visits when necessary to confirm work and materials are in compliance with the law.
Modifying and updating drawings as changes are made during the construction process.
Requirements: Diploma or above qualification in architectural technology or a related field.
Or proven minimum 3-year experience as an architectural draftsperson or a similar role.
Proficiency in ArchiCad.
Strong understanding of New Zealand building codes and standards.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with professionals.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, especially under pressure.
Self-motivated, conscientious, team player.
Great time management and organizational skills.
