We are looking for an Alcohol Licensing Inspector to assist our Environmental Health Team.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Assessing suitability of applicants (including interviews), providing advice and processing applications for alcohol licences and certificates.
Undertaking inspections and monitoring activities of licenced premises while promptly responding to, investigating and reporting on complaints relating to non-compliance issues.
Presenting cases at District Licensing Committee (DLC) and Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority (ARLA).
Assisting in the development and updating of policies, plans and procedures that comply with relevant current legislation or bylaws.
What you will bring:
A tertiary qualification in a related field.
Suitability to hold and maintain a Licensing Inspector warrant of appointment.
Extensive knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and relevant regulations.
Previous experience in a regulatory, investigative, compliance or enforcement type role.
Well-developed interpersonal and networking skills.
