The Government and Executive Services directorate has a strong focus on integrity, reputation and trust.
We lead and support organisational excellence by providing timely, high-quality advice, communications, legal and governance support to Manatu Hauora and to the Ministers and Associate Ministers of Health as our primary customers.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do In this role you will be part of the wider Government Services group, providing advice to support the Ministry, Minister and Associate Ministers to undertake their democratic responsibilities.
The Ministerial Correspondence team is responsible for drafting correspondence for our Ministers and Executive Governance Team (EGT).
We work in a fast-paced and reactive environment where meeting deadlines and high standards are paramount.
You will have exposure to the four teams in the group, and at times may be required to work across them: OIA Services, Ministerial Correspondence, Parliamentary Advice and Coordination, and Official Information Advisory.

Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships.
Ability to influence and work with staff of all levels.
Knowledge of the machinery of government, risk management, managing at the political interface.
