So, get in touch now!Requirements:As a volunteer, you will:Have a passion to inspire girls and young women to reach their full potential and learn new skillsBe encouraging, assertive, and patientBe a hands-on leader and learnerMeet new people and become part of a worldwide networkDuring the school term, our GGNZ leaders:Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hoursHelp plan the term's activities and deliver them to the girlsComplete occasional evening/weekend training as requiredAttend occasional leader/planning meetings, and trips or campsNo experience is needed, but we need reliable volunteers, and previous experience working with youth is an advantage.GirlGuiding New Zealand's health and safety policy also has requirements around adult-to-child ratios, so we require you to be older than 18.A Police background check is required for this role.Time commitment:We are currently recruiting leaders for a few different units so you can pick the unit with the best days/times to match your needs.
We are looking for new leaders at:Hamilton North Brownies - Located in Rototuna North, meets on Thursdays from 5 - 6:30pm during school term timeHamilton North Guides - Located in Rototuna North, meets on Thursdays from 6.30 - 8.30pm during school term timeTaumata Pippins - Located in Hamilton East, meets on Tuesdays from 4:30 - 5:30pm during school term timeNawton Brownies - Located in Nawton, meets on Tuesdays from 5-6:30pm during school term timeNawton Pippins - Located in Nawton, meets on Tuesdays from 5 - 6pm during school term timeBetween weekly meetings with the occasional event of camp on a weekend and a bit of planning, you can expect to spend on average 2-3 hours per week volunteering.We also require a minimum of a six-month commitment.The first step is to express your interest by filling out the form below.
