Our school has approximately 130 students and is located on the stunning West Coast of the South Island between Hokitika and Franz Josef. We have many classic West Coast outdoor recreational opportunities on our doorstep. Hokitika is a 45 minute drive away, so we have the advantages of living in a small community with quick access to larger facilities such as supermarkets, retail, trades and other services.
Due to roll growth we are seeking a passionate New Zealand registered teacher to join our team of enthusiastic, collegial and collaborative staff. You will be working mainly with our Y7–10 classes.
We enjoy a supportive community, small class sizes and fantastic students. If you have a passion for working with young people, are flexible and can contribute to our kura and our wider South Westland community then we want you!
We are a HPSTA school, incentives/allowances are available with this position. Management units may be available for suitable applicants, depending on your strengths and passions. Strengths in science, music, the arts or languages an advantage .
Newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply. You may be eligible for the Voluntary Bonding Scheme allowance (VBS), please refer to MOE website for more details.
Start date is beginning of term 1, 2025.
