We're Working for Wellington. The Property team is responsible for the management of Council-owned property assets through the provision of high-quality property advice, effective management and leasing of Council owned real estate, delivery of efficient management of real estate acquisitions and disposals and high level of client focus - gives high priority to anticipating their needs and ensuring client satisfaction.
Supporting council are our busy Corporate Facilities team who are now looking for two enthusiastic people with high level of energy to join the team in our newly created workplace coordinator roles.
Au ake mahi | What you'll do
In this busy role, you will be the go-to person providing a high level of assistance and support to the busy Corporate Facilities Team to enable the efficient running of the Council's corporate offices.
You will provide support and backup to both the receptionist, fleet advisor and mailroom team located in Council Head office among other duties such as:
Facilitate maintenance and cleaning services for Council corporate workplaces.
Deliver any required minor works projects within the corporate office portfolio.
Facilitating the undertaking of repairs and maintenance between contractors and building owners.
Managing office meeting room suites.
Managing the centralised office supply requirements for collaborative and kitchen spaces within leased buildings.

Ideally, you will come with prior experience working within facilities or administration roles but above all, we are looking for hard-working individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and help out where needed along with the following although training can be provided:
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to understand and use common software packages and ability to learn new computer systems such as Microsoft Office suite.
Working in a team environment and the ability to work unsupervised.
Delivery of excellent customer service.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo Ministry of Justice checks as part of the pre-employment process and hold a current full New Zealand driver's license.
