Work Brokers Mata Rangai Mahi, Canterbury - Fixed Term/Secondment ending in February 2025 Ministry of Social Development Fixed-Term, full-time starting 18 November 2024, ending 17 February 2025 37.55 hours per week Make a real impact by connecting students with job opportunities. As a Work Broker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students into employment by providing tailored solutions, making their transition from education to the workforce less challenging. You will also have the opportunity to assist other job seekers in getting employment. We are looking for dynamic, experienced, and driven individuals who can hit the ground running and proactively engage with local employers to create sustainable job opportunities. What you'll be doing | He aha tau e mahi ana Sourcing vacancies and building strong relationships with employers and industry partners to support the growth of local job opportunities. Proactively connecting students to employment opportunities and working closely with businesses to meet their recruitment needs. Providing tailored employment solutions for students finishing their education. Using your strong networking skills, you'll engage with employers across key industries to drive recruitment efforts during the busy holiday season. Proven experience in recruitment, sales, or a similar role where relationship-building with employers is key. A focus on results with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, job placement targets and an ability to navigate setbacks. Confidence in cold calling, networking, and using technology to source employment opportunities. The ability to identify job opportunities and know what strategies to use to engage employers considering the local labour market. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively. Flexibility to travel within the region to meet employers as required. A competitive salary range of $78,222 to $94,689 per annum, based on your experience and skills. Start and finish dates may vary slightly depending on regional needs and University schedules.
