About the role | Mo te turanga mahi
As one of our Wonder Project Advisors, you'll champion the programme and operate as a key point of contact for schools and industry. You'll help us expand the impact of the programme by encouraging schools and volunteer STEM professionals to get involved. As a natural people person, you'll act as a first point of contact for enquiries and be comfortable picking up the phone, visiting stakeholders, and networking at events. You'll have knowledge of te ao Maori and matauranga Maori and be able to lead us in incorporating that into the Wonder Project programmes.
You will be responsible for: Helping recruit teachers and STEM professionals to meet targetsEngaging with stakeholders to promote offerings and seek feedbackSupporting the coordination and development of school challengesPlanning and running promotional events and training sessionsUsing a database system and ensuring data stored is accurate and up-to-dateWho we're looking for | Ta matou e kimi nei
The role is suited to a qualified kaiako looking for a new challenge. We're looking for someone who has:
Knowledge of education, classroom functionality and the New Zealand CurriculumPlanning, written communication and critical thinking skillsAn ability to build trust and confidence with peopleConfidence speaking and is comfortable working the room at social eventsAn ability to coach and train peopleAvailability for occasional evening work for events and travel around AotearoaSome proficiency in te reo MaoriWe want to hear from you if you think you can bring value to the role, not because you tick every box.
