Tradestaff are seeking an experienced WOF Certified Diesel Mechanic to join us for a September start!
Requirements:WOF Certification: Essential for performing Warrant of Fitness inspections.Experience: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, specifically working on diesel engines and trucks.Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines.Knowledge: Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and related components.Tools: Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair equipment for diesel engines.Licensing: Full New Zealand driver's licence.Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.Work Ethic: Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.Responsibilities:Engine Diagnostics: Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with diesel engines in trucks.Repairs & Maintenance: Performing repairs and routine maintenance on diesel engines and related components.Customer Service: Communicating effectively with customers to explain issues, repair options, and provide recommendations.Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.Compliance: Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with legal and safety standards.Upkeep: Keeping the workshop clean and organised, and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.Rewards:Competitive Salary: Attractive remuneration package based on experience and skills.Work Environment: Friendly and supportive team environment with a commitment to work-life balance.Professional Development: Opportunities for ongoing training and career growth.
