We are seeking a leader who inspires growth through a relational and culturally responsive framework. You will work collaboratively with a resilient and supportive pastoral team to design, facilitate and lead student wellbeing across the school and wider school community. You will be pedagogically progressive, have a growth mindset and form effective professional and positive relationships. The whanau leader role is comparative to being a dean with a 0.6 teaching load overseeing 150 students. You will need to provide trustworthy leadership, initiative and contribute to a team-based approach to meeting the needs and wellbeing of our students.
We have firm foundations in culturally sustaining pedagogies and a commitment to the principles of restorative practice. The ideal candidate will be a permanent NZ resident who is a registered teacher, familiar with Te Mataiao NZ Curriculum, the National Qualifications Framework and NCEA.
