Weta Cave Host - Bilingual (Mandarin/English) Speakers Wanted

Job Description Roll up, roll up we're looking for people like you to join us as we take our guests on one heck of a journey! Our Weta Cave is the first port of call for people who love cool stuff. And, as a purveyor of said cool stuff, you'll be responsible for making their experience a great one. Here's the deal. As the awesomely approachable face of Weta Workshop, you'll be rubbing shoulders with not only the most passionate and dedicated fan base on the planet, but families, film fans, and people from all over the world.  You'll be energetic and charismatic and have a love for creativity in all its forms. We're looking for outgoing, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic crew members who are bilingual in Mandarin and English - and who have a passion for storytelling - to help us deliver great event experiences.   What you'll be doing: Helping us deliver world-class, unforgettable guest experiences Bringing our creative journey to life by delivering guided experiences in Mandarin and English through our tour spaces Taking guests through immersive and creative experiences Being part of our retail team in the Weta Cave shop Selling and processing tickets Helping to inspire our guests to start a collection of their own by sharing your enthusiasm, in-depth product knowledge, and sales focus, creating a retail experience like no other Want to know more? Check out our job description here.   What we're looking for in you? Proficiency in speaking in both Mandarin and English is an absolute must. Previous host, retail/sales, guiding or guest service experience A passion for movies, visual effects, graphics and/or novels An upbeat, enthusiastic outlook and commitment to excellent customer experience   Hours: Opening hours are 8.00am to 6.00pm, 7 days a week so we're looking for people with good availability across the week and weekend. These are  casual (on-call)  roles, so there aren't any set shifts.   Key information: As part of our recruitment process, shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a short video interview Training is fully paid The hourly rate is $26/hour     Be part of the most fun, fantastical, and fan-friendly experience in New Zealand.
