About the Role
The Wellington Rugby Football Union (WRFU) is seeking an experienced and committed Head Coach to lead the Wellington Pride Women's Rugby Team. This role requires a proactive leader to foster a positive team culture, engage players, and build a successful season. Reporting to the WRFU Chief Executive Officer, you will collaborate with assistant coaches, support staff, and players to drive team success.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a Positive Team Culture: Establish an inclusive environment that values respect, teamwork, and hard work.
Player Development: Engage in candid conversations to support players' growth post-club season.
Training and Strategy: Create and implement comprehensive training plans, encompassing game strategies, skill development, conditioning, nutrition, and mental skills training.
Effective Communication: Provide consistent communication to players, coaching staff, and support staff to align with the team's mission and goals.
Promote Women's Rugby: Actively engage with the community to support and grow women's rugby in Wellington.
Leverage Technology: Use video analysis and other tools to enhance coaching and player performance.
Qualifications and Skills
Coaching Qualification: Level 3 or above.
Experience: Proven success in high-performance women's rugby coaching.
Leadership: Strong communication skills, capable of inspiring players and collaborating with staff.
Commitment to Diversity: Dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that aligns with WRFU values.
