In these 2 part time roles, it will be combined with a 0.5 FTE case managing role and you will be working to area specific rosters.You will coordinate the people, systems and resources, through a clinical/managerial partnership approach, to ensure service delivery is efficient and effective, and to contribute to the supervision and coaching of team members towards sector integration and recovery-focused care.About the ServiceWhangarei Acute Spectrum Specialist Services (W.A.S.S.S.) is a group of community-based teams that provide acute specialist assessment and treatment for new and existing clients within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai Tokerau Mental Health and Addictions service.We are a close whanau that works collaboratively together and genuinely care about each other. Our sense of belonging is enhanced with a lot of laughter and humour and we are committed to ongoing professional and cultural development.About youOur preferred applicant has:Comprehensive Nurse Registration and a current practicing certificateTwo years' experience in acute and/or kaupapa led community mental health practice working with tangata whaiora and their whanau living with the effects of mental illness in our communityBe a Duly Authorised Officer or be willing to work towards the sameProven ability to communicate well with tangata whaiora, their whanau and colleagues, and engage Maori in making choices that enhance their wellbeingDemonstrated commitment to continuing personal and professional developmentCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
