Position: Warehouse Coordinator (WC)Reports To: Supply ChainLocation: AshburtonOur Ashburton based client is looking for someone to join their team as a Warehouse Coordinator to be responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse.To learn more about the role please see details below;Purpose of the PositionOverseeing the daily operations of the warehouse. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for managing inventory, receiving/dispatching goods, coordinating shipments, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring efficient workflow within the warehouse.Working RelationshipsInternal:- Team members at all levels within the company- Reports to Supply ChainExternal:- Truck driversKey ResponsibilitiesWarehouse and Inventory Management- Loading and unloading trucks and containers – import and export- Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and the security of all warehouse stock including accurate tracking, receiving, and dispatching of goods- Regular updating of inventory records and stock labels- Lead regular stock take, manage the inventory report- Manage stock discrepancies, including investigation, reporting, adjustment and liaising to relevant functions including Supply Chain and Finance- Urgent reporting of damaged goods received or found in the warehouse, and short deliveries upon receival- Managing a good stock level of consumables within the warehouse and the factory. Reporting consumable items that need to be ordered in a timely manner- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by implementing efficient storage systems, labelling and storage layout management- Support the manufacturing team with the staging of materials and manufacturing processesRelationship Management- Maintain sound and cooperative working relationships with stakeholders and any official authority and associates- Ensure constructive working relationships with service providers and clientsHealth and Safety- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations- Observe all safe work policies, procedures and instructions- Take responsibility for personal health and safety, and ensure no action or inaction harms others in the workplace- Provide information, training and supervision as necessary to ensure that health and safety hazards are identified, understood and managed effectively- Required to accurately report, notify and investigate all injuries and accidentsCompliance/Risk Management- Perform all tasks to a high standard to meet standard operating procedures and codes of conduct- Comply with all relevant company policies and delegations- Identify and remedy any health and safety hazards and report any incidentsOther- Any other duties as required by Supply Chain- Keep up to date with training courses, and adhere to Company systems, policies and procedures and relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice- Actively support, assist, interact, and communicate professionally with colleaguesAttributes- Have forklift licence and proficient with forklift- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels- Ability to build and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships- Excellent time management skills and highly organised- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy- The ability to use judgement to determine when matters need to be escalated/referred to others- Strong decision-making skills- High standard of hygiene- Can work well within a team or individually- Solution driven approach- Computer literate and has experience of using Microsoft Office (Excel/Word)Applications close 31 October 2024.
