About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated, competent and organised Ward Clerk who enjoys interaction with patients and health professionals.
About the Team/Service/Location This busy Ward Clerk role supports the General Surgery Inpatient ward. You will be working with both patients and clinical team members to deliver the best possible care to this patient-centred team.
About You You will need to be someone who is system and process-oriented that can support administrative systems to ensure all aspects of this diverse role function effectively. Your exceptional communication skills will allow you to interact confidently with clinical staff and patients who are attending the service.
We are looking for someone with:Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Outlook, Excel, and WordStrong organisational skills and attention to detailEffective communication and time management skillsScheduling / Booking experience would be advantageous and previous experience in a health environment is desirable.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
