Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the roleAs a Ward Administration Officer, you will be carrying out a wide range of administrative and reception duties and providing essential support for other staff members within the team to keep the hospital functioning effectively, including but not limited to:Providing effective reception services - answering incoming calls, welcoming visitors to the ServiceManagement of patient records/information, both electronically and in hard copy, database maintenance and ordering suppliesSupporting the wider service with administration tasksPlease note, our administration staff work standard office hours across Monday to Sunday on a two-week rotational roster. The ability to work weekend shifts is essential to be considered for this role.About youYou must be a team player with very good communication skills, who understands and appreciates the need for attention to detail. You must also be comfortable interacting with a variety of people and attending to issues that arise - usually at the same time! Additionally, you will be self-motivated with an ability to initiate and anticipate change along with flexibility in your thinking.The ideal candidate will have the following:Previous clerical administration experienceKnowledge of office systemsStrong computer skillsThe ability to prioritise and juggle tasksExcellent time managementCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settingsHow to applyTo view the position description and/or apply for the role please click "apply now."
