Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the roleWe are looking for an administrator to join our Surgical Ward team as a Ward Administrator working 0700 - 1500 on Saturday and Sunday. This role will effectively contribute to the smooth running of the ward by providing an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service/organisation.Tasks include but are not limited to the following:Be the first point of contact for visitors (internal and external) to the ward and handling all manner of enquiries, including being a first point of contact for complaintsRaising purchase orders for office equipment and clinical supplies, maintain ward stock levels and equipment coordination and inventoryOverseeing the cleaning, maintenance and repairs of equipmentTracking and locating clinical records and data entry in patient management systemsAdmitting and discharging patients into hospital systemsEnsuring patient referrals and clinic appointments have been madeAbout the Team/Service/LocationTe Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
