As well as providing Ambulance Services, our programmes and team of over 11,000 staff and volunteers are helping to build strong, resilient communities across the motu; supporting everyone in Aotearoa to live healthier, happier and longer lives.Job DescriptionHe aha te turanga - About the role:Making over 65,000 trips per year, the St John Health Shuttle is a free community service that transports people to and from essential medical and health related appointments. The service is often used by older people, by people who are too unwell to drive a vehicle, and those who cannot access other transport options.As a Team Leader, you will lead your volunteers to provide a safe and efficient service for clients. You will:Provide leadership, direction, mentoring, and support to your direct team of volunteersOversee the recruitment and retention of your team, including organising activities to attract, induct, and support new and existing membersCoordinate team resources, service and maintenance requests, as well as maintain appropriate rostersPlease note, this is a voluntary position.QualificationsThis role is flexible and can work around your availability, ideally you will be able to commit at least 2-3 hours per week.
