About the role: Our team is expanding, and we're in search of an intermediate UX Engineer / Creative Technologist / Product Designer with a strong affinity for music. This role requires someone with the skills to use front end technologies like JavaScript; as well as MIDI, and audio to craft interactive prototypes. You'll be at the heart of our user-centred design and testing process, and when not building prototypes, you'll contribute to the specification of designs for development through our design system. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our UX and Product Design team to transform concepts into interactive prototypes using JavaScript, MIDI, and audio.Contribute to our design system by specifying designs for development, ensuring consistent and high-quality user experiences across our products.Actively participate in our user-centred design testing process, iterating on prototypes based on user feedback.Stay abreast of trends and advancements in music creation technologies, as well as design and creative technologies.Use your understanding of music production, DJing or performance to inform the design and prototyping processes.Advocate for the end-user. Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Demonstrable experience in a similar role, showcasing your ability to create interactive, user-friendly designs.Proficient in JavaScript, with experience in MIDI and audio.Strong understanding of and passion for music, with experience in music production, DJing or performance.Comprehensive understanding of user-centred design principles and responsive design.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Familiarity with design software such as Figma, or similar tools.A proactive learner, keeping up-to-date with trends in music creation, design, and creative technologies.
