About the Job
The Unit Support Coordinator provides essential support to our incredible Coastguard volunteers. In this pivotal role, you'll manage administrative processes, assist in volunteer engagement, and coordinate training activities to enhance the effectiveness and experience of our units. Collaborating closely with regional team members and the national Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our volunteer units.
Key accountabilities include: Facilitating volunteer recruitment and induction, from handling inquiries to onboarding. Supporting volunteer retention efforts, coordinating recognition programs, and maintaining up-to-date contact information. Organising and supporting training courses, coordinating logistics, and ensuring volunteer records are accurate. Assisting in the effective delivery of training events like TRAINEX and SAREX. Providing general regional operational support and assisting the Regional Manager with various tasks. About You
We're looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional who loves connecting with people and can juggle multiple priorities.

Experience with budgeting and administrative processes: You understand financial tasks and can support efficient resource use. Desirable Experience: Familiarity with the not-for-profit or volunteer sector, and an understanding of what motivates a volunteer workforce. Experience in event coordination and training support.
