The role includes working Tuesday to Saturday 0800-1630 with a shared on-call component for 6 months.As a Unit Coordinator, you will use your nursing and people skills to:Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care is always "good enough for mum and dad"Foster the Ryman culture which promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for your teamEnsure all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident within the UnitActively engage with residents' families/whanau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards, creating lasting relationshipsPerform and support your nursing team to conduct interRAI assessmentsIntermittently provide additional time outside rostered hours to attend events, support team members or residents and families as neededDedicate quality time with your team, including flexibility of rostered hours on different shifts to connect with all team members within the unitCommunicate effectively and efficiently with your team that promotes respect and trustParticipate as a positive and trusting member of a team that works together as oneProvide support to your Clinical Manager and Village ManagerAbout YouTo thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:A current APC (annual practising certificate)InterRAI training or willingness to gain competencyExtensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing LeaderThe ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your teamKindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residentsFlexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as per a roster coordinated by the Village ManagerAbout RymanAt Ryman, we believe the measure of a full life is one that gets richer with age.
