Let's continue our journey together.As an Underwriting Analyst at AA Insurance, you will play a key part in analysing and reviewing portfolio segments to help improve the quality of new incoming risk.You'll bring your underwriting expertise to enhance our portfolio underwriting, manage renewal retention, risk management, and provide commercially viable, profitable underwriting solutions.
Your keen eye for detail mixed with strong analytical skills will allow you to help develop and improve AAI's underwriting process and guidelines.We are looking for a team player, someone who enjoys collaborating and supporting their colleagues, but enjoys autonomy and being empowered to make your own decisions.
You'll bring previous skills in complex analytical and research, with the ability to provide recommendations for improvements to our processes and guidelines.Does this sound like the role for you?
Then apply now to hear more about this exciting 12-month fixed term contract.What else will you be doing?Contributing to the development of underwriting knowledge across the business.Undertaking risk mitigation measures for new and existing policies in accordance with Company guidelines and sound underwriting principles.Proactively identify and develop improvements to AAI underwriting processes and guidelines.Managing high priority and complex underwriting referrals.Ensuring all interactions are handled in a timely manner.Ensuring all data gathered is complete and accurate.Identifying and owning your risks and incidents, in-line with our risk management programme.Following all processes and procedures and relevant legislation.To shine in the role, we're looking for:Minimum of four years' experience in a large financial, insurance or professional services business.Underwriting experience is preferred, or strong background in analytics or data analysis.Intermediate level of excel is desirable.A strong work ethic with a positive attitude and outlook.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven ability to write board level report and strong analytical skills.A drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience in every interaction.Proven skills in adaptability and resiliency, with a solutions focused mindset.Claims Technical Knowledge would be advantageous.Why you'll love working with us:We have an inclusive and supportive environment and believe every voice matters.
