K1000ULE Maintenance Engineer Technician

Position will serve as a K1000ULE UAS Maintenance Technician in support of sustainment operations. Duties will include maintenance, payload operations, communications network troubleshooting & repair, aircraft repair & overhaul, training, and logistical tasks in support of the K1000ULE UAS. Additional duties will include emplacement, displacement, inspection, disposition, repair, and replenishment of associated equipment, as well as proper notation of logbooks, flight records, and phase maintenance activities. Perform as a Subject Matter Expert for operator and maintenance related issues. Participate in site surveys and demos for customers. Provide technical and operational expertise for communication device hardware and software development, testing, and utilization. Interface with hardware, software, and human systems integration engineering personnel to support product improvement. Develop and present formal training courses and materials. Conduct training task analysis. Assure that uniform and efficient training and publications processes are applied on assigned programs. Evaluate training methods and recommend changes/improvements to ensure efficient and effective qualification of students. Primary duties could possibly require travel (up to 45 day deployments), both domestically and internationally including deployments and training exercises.

Responsibilities
Operational support of K100ULE Group II UAS
Perform as maintenance technician, sensor operator, integration specialist, composite technician, and/or maintainer/crew chief
Travel and deploy worldwide as required
Direct interface with customer
Work in groups or independently with minimal or no supervision
Will be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours
Support PIC with data management and exploitation report generation
Provides general logistics functions
Troubleshoot technical problems and issues and determines technical solutions

Preferred Candidate Will Have
Four or more years of related experience.
Related technical training is desired.
Significant aviation maintenance experience from one or multiple platforms with core competencies in avionics, communications, and navigation.
Candidate must be able to perform the duties of maintenance engineer, sensor operator, and launch and recovery specialist safely and effectively without supervision, including flight and ground equipment setup/maintenance as well as logs and records. Ability to coordinate flight schedules, airspace, resources, frequency management, and other aspects of flight operations. FAA licenses or certificates such as Part 107, private pilot certifications are desirable.
Basic computer skills are required; computer networking experience is desired.
Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing and possess strong leadership skills.
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of Unmanned Air Vehicle systems a plus.
Prior military service a desired plus.
Must be deployable to various OCONUS locations.
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
