Trustee For The New Zealand Ukulele Trust / Te Runanga Ukurere O Aotearoa

The New Zealand Ukulele Trust | Te Runanga Ukurere O Aotearoa is a not-for-profit organisation that uses the ukulele to enrich children's lives with music. We deliver resources, training and events for teachers across Aotearoa so their students can realise their musical potential. This is done via our annual Kiwilele Songbank and dozens of Kiwilele festivals across the motu. We also work in partnership with our sponsors to provide hundreds of ukuleles to schools via our Ukes in Schools programme each year. Ideal Applicant
We are looking to develop the strength of our board, so whatever your skill strengths we would encourage you to apply. However, we would be particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in any of the following areas:
- Marketing and Sponsorship
- Fundraising (including grant applications)
- Accounting
- Supporting our bicultural journey.
Trustees are expected to attend one meeting every 6 weeks via Zoom. This is a voluntary (unpaid) position. The position of a New Zealand Ukulele Trustee is estimated to take up 4-6  hours per month.
