The Trust Manager is a dynamic role, with priorities shifting depending on the time of year and over the course of a school term. KPT's primary business is Circus Kumarani and the delivery of creative community circus through after-school and school-holiday programs, performances and events. With the Ringleader focusing on program delivery, the Trust Manager ensures the back-stage operations run smoothly. This position is responsible for the management of the trust entity as a whole. This includes the delivery of the strategic objective and works closely with the Trust Board in the design and monitoring of KPT's long-term plans, and the reviewing of policy and accreditation documentation. They oversee the financial and operational management, and will be active in the seeking of funding and reporting on received grants. This role is a perfect fit for someone with experience in business management and interested in supporting community based initiatives. What we're looking for? This position is best suited to someone who has a strong organisational background, and a passion for community development in Northland. Experience with business or organisational management Strong time and task management skills Experience leading diverse teams Understanding of relevant legislation associated with Trusts, and employment obligations Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ways it can be applied to work places Familiarity with accounting or financial management Confident decision-maker and adept problem-solver Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with various stakeholders Experience working with neurodiverse people in a professional setting Proficiency in Microsoft or G-Suite, including spreadsheets Familiarity with financial management software (Xero preferred) Drivers licence The successful candidate will undergo Police Vetting before the role is formally offered.
