Job Description As a key player reporting to the Directors, as Financial Controller, you will hold a pivotal role providing technical expertise and leadership of this function. Your primary focus will be managing all financial aspects of their build programme and the company financial management and cashflows. The role includes responsibility for Building Contract creation, Sales and Purchase Agreements as well as insurance requirements. Key responsibilities for this role encompass ensuring financial compliance, cultivating an in-depth understanding of costs, conducting cashflow forecasting, budgeting, reconciliations and WIP calculations, margin analysis. Your role will also involve a sharp focus on cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and the monitoring and analysis of financial performance metrics. You will be skilled in translating financial and operational information into practical commercial and business outcomes, and relish influencing financial decision making. Qualifications Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience: A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field. CPA or CA preferred but not essential At least five years' experience in a similar role ideally in construction Strong compliance and regulatory reporting skills Possess experience and knowledge of risk management Have a background and experience with cost accounting and audit methodologies Enjoy developing strong relationships across all levels of the organisation Have the ability to develop and write robust and comprehensive policy and procedural documents Knowledge in BuilderTrend project management software and Xero would be an advantage Be a confident writer with excellent communication skills.
